FOMCL Book and Bake sale – Mountaineer Echo

The Friends of the Marion County Library will be holding their biggest book, bake and garage sale ever on Thursday March 17, Friday March 18 and Saturday March 19 at Legion Hut in Yellville.

Fiction tables will be covered with mysteries, suspense, bestsellers, classics, westerns, fantasy, dystopia, beach reads, romance, paranormal, historical fiction, poetry and Christian fiction . Biographies, history, scientific works, crafts, cookbooks, decoration, gardening, autobiographies, space exploration, Arkansas history and too many other subjects will be available in the non-fiction areas.

Books for young adults and children will include picture books, series, fiction, science, history, non-fiction, poetry and classic favorites. Children’s books cost between $0.25 and $1. Adult hardbacks cost $1 while paperbacks cost $0.25. DVDs and CDs will also be on sale.

The bake sale is always a hit with shoppers offering Friends-made baked goods. Cookies, muffins, breads, candies, peanut crisps, cakes, cupcakes and fudge will be offered on the 3 days of the sale.

Friday is soup day at the Legion Hut! Pots of tasty and simmered soups will tempt you to take away or to taste at the Legion hut!

Our famous bag sale takes place on Saturday, March 19! For $2 you can fill a brown grocery bag with all the books you can fit in it.

The garage sale tables will be full of gently used items that Friends have donated. We have no idea what will be on those tables, but we bet you’ll find some must-have treasures!

Please put the book, bake and garage sale on your calendar. Hours are 1-4 p.m. Thursday, March 17; From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday March 18 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday March 19.
