A society for children, the Portland media startup behind books like A children’s book about systemic racismpublished his first book on parenthood, 100 diverse voices on parenting. The book includes 100 different parent contributors representing various races, genders, socioeconomic backgrounds, and experiences (each of them wrote their own chapter).

Contributors to 100 diverse voices on parenthood include Dr. Becky Kennedy (clinical psychologist and Instagram “Parenting Whisperer”), Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, singer/dancer/actress Tabitha St. Bernard-Jacobs, founding member of the Women’s March and former football player NFL Emmitt Smith.
According to A Kids Co., the book will offer everything from “advice on what to ask your doctor from a board-certified pediatrician to advice on navigating screen time decisions from a writer.” from NPR education, to thoughts on returning to work as a single parent of a recently divorced mother.
The book is organized into several sections, namely, The Big Picture: difficult topics ranging from approaching conversations about race and gender to dealing with frustration and anger; The baby: practical tips and potential strategies for caring for your baby; Everyone: A guide to making informed decisions about healthy community boundaries; and you too: Prioritize well-being as a parent to ensure you can present yourself in the best way for your family.
